From great fortress to perched monasteries, from colored villages to isolated hamlets, this program has been specially conceived to discover this jewel of the Himalayan world: Sikkim and Bhutan. From the first days of traveling, the visitor is plunge in the heart of unique and green landscapes of Sikkim which traditions swing between Tibetan and Indian culture. From Gangtok, the road goes to the south of Bhutan for an unforgettable discovery of this mythic kingdom and its many wealth’s: seducing landscapes, typical architecture, lively culture and traditions… A real immersion in the heart of another world with in the background the eternal snows.

Located between Nepal and Bhutan, the Sikkim is still really preserved. From the middle mountains covered with thick forest at the south, to the snowy high peaks making the Tibetan border at the North, the landscapes are very contrasted. On the track of Alexandra David Neel, who remained in the area for many years, we discover this paradise with its tree ferns, its orchids, its giant rhododendrons and its magnificent monasteries.

The Bhutan, forbidden to foreigners for long, remains a very preserved country, where traditions and customs, are constantly mixed to the religion and rhythm the daily life. The discovery of its architecture will be the main appeal of this incredible tour.

Itinerary

Day 1 | Arrival in Delhi
Welcome to India! You are greeted at the airport by your private driver with a "Namaste": welcome in Hindi. After pickup, your Travel Expert will share with you the latest useful information and tips for your Golden Triangle trip. Arrive at your hotel and either start to explore Delhi or have a rest to prepare for your vacation in India. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 | Delhi
Start your day exploring New Delhi; visit Hamuyan's Tomb and the Lodhi Gardens. On the way to shop at Khanna Market, witness the spectacular street art in the Lodhi Art District. Next, meet your guide for an Old Delhi street food tour. While sampling the best of Delhi’s local specialities at our favourite vendors, learn about Delhi’s history and absorb the hustle and bustle of the streets as you visit different locations by rickshaw. When full from eating delicious food, take a rest back at your hotel to prepare for the next step of your Golden Triangle tour tomorrow.
Day 3 | Delhi - Jaipur
Today your driver will pick you up for your journey to Jaipur. On the way, enjoy an amazing lunch and tour at a 553-year-old medieval Fort-Palace built on the Aravalli hills. This Fort Palace takes you on a grand experience which truly transports you back into the past five centuries in India (if you desire, an overnight at the fort can also be arranged). Journey on and arrive in the evening at your Heritage Hotel in Jaipur, where members of the erstwhile ruling family welcome you personally as their honoured guest.
Day 4 | Jaipur
After breakfast, take a jeep to visit the imposing Amber Fort. The fort’s majestic appearance and its geographical advantages make it a special place to visit. The fort presents a fascinating blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture; built using red sandstone and white marble. In the afternoon, explore the Pink City by rickshaw and visit the city monuments including the City Palace and local street markets. Overnight at a hotel in Jaipur.
Day 5 | Jaipur - Agra
Start your morning early with a Pink City cycling tour. Along the way, you will stop to climb to the rooftops for a magnificent view of the Palace of Winds and to enjoy some chai masala with the locals in the morning vegetable market before cycling on to more sights. After cycling, enjoy breakfast back at your hotel before departing with your driver on to Agra. Stop by the Abhaneri Stepwell and upon arrival at your hotel in Agra, get your first glimpse of the iconic Taj Mahal.
Day 6 | Agra - Delhi
Wake up at dawn to witness one of the highlights of your trip! At sunrise, the marble of the Taj Mahal encrusted with precious stones is shaded with golden tones, revealing like a mirage, one of the seven wonders of the world. Be dazzled by the beauty of this tomb which was built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jehan in the image of his deceased queen, an enduring monument to love. After breakfast, drive back to Delhi. Overnight at a hotel in Delhi.
Delhi International Airport
If the schedule of your international flight allows, take the opportunity to make the last visits that are important to you, browse the bazaars to find souvenirs to bring back or sip a last chai masala tea. Your private driver will accompany you to the airport. Our services are coming to an end.
